Remove Scaleway Information from terminal

#1

I am starting a server business. Like reselling Scaleway servers through the Scaleway API. But every time the user ssh into his/her, s/he will always see this on the terminal.

DigitalOcean doesn’t have this feature. Its limiting the potential of my new business. How can i remove it every time i create a server or what can i do? Consider that i only want to do this with Scaleway only

The message you are seeing when logging in is known as “motd” (message of the day), and in Debian (Scaleway version), you can change the “/etc/update-motd.d/50-scw” file to display a different message.

Probably the easiest way to remove this and be able to create new servers without this message, or with a different message, is taking a snapshot (after you have changes the message) of each OS that you wish to offer and then creating new servers based on these snapshots.

Less easy: make use of cloud-init (https://cloudinit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/).
