Latest Alpine Linux fails to boot

#1

I just lost an Alpine Linux C1 instance, and to test, instantiated a new one and immediate did an apk update/upgrade
When I rebooted, the system hangs after “Syncing kernel modules/headers … [ ok ]”. Do not upgrade to the
latest Alpine bits, at least on a C1–unless you’re equipped to do some debug.

I boot rescued and looked around. I’m not an Alpine expert, and didn’t see anything amiss. The openrc system
doesn’t appear to have any helpful debug trace flags.
