Dedibox / ProxMox and IPv6

#1

I have managed to configure IPv6 with ProxMox 4.5 one time, but it only worked for a few hours. Looks like the router dislikes the config and drops the packets.

Anyone else using IPv6 in a virtualised Dedibox ?

Hello,

Here is my tutorial about this (in French but you can google translate)

Thanks, I speak french, and this is the tutorial I have followed. In fact, it is also you whom have taken my assistance ticket about that :wink:

The problem I have is that it only worked for a few hours, then it worked no more. Looks like the config was good, for a time.

So I suppose the router is disliking something, and I wonder how to debug that.
Here is what I get :

#traceroute6 ipv6.google.com
traceroute to ipv6.google.com (2a00:1450:4007:80a::200e), 30 hops max, 80 byte packets
 1  * * *
 2  * * *

Finally I found my mistake : the DUID must not be written in quotes in the file /etc/dhcp/dhclient6.conf . Better later than never :wink:

So the last thing that made me unhappy was the init.d script in a systemd world.
Here is the file /etc/systemd/system/ipv6online.service to be modern…

[Unit]
Description=IPv6 activation Online
After=network.target

[Service]
Type=oneshot
ExecStart=/sbin/ipv6.sh

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
